Algerian artisanal soap maker
Biochamelle is an artisanal soap maker founded in 2022 in southern Algeria, specialized in the creation and formulation of artisanal soaps from natural materials and plant-based and mineral resources originating from desert and mountainous environments.
My expertise is based in particular on the research and creation of original formulations that highlight local resources such as sand, sea foam (zabad el-bahr), felty germander, camel milk, spirulina, madder roots, eggshell powder, date kernel oil, as well as residues from the traditional “El Aroussa Sahraouia” incense, composed of more than thirty aromatic plants. These materials are a source of inspiration for developing soaps that combine local identity, creativity and the enhancement of natural resources.
The story of Biochamelle began in 2009 with the recovery and remelting of soap scraps, to which I gave a new life in original and personalized forms. During a difficult personal period, soap making, drawing, printing and soap decoration became for me a space for creation, a positive escape and a new reason to move forward. Little by little, this passion developed into a genuine artisanal activity.
Today, Biochamelle combines expertise, creativity and sustainable commitment, through artisanal soaps and care products intended for individuals, as well as solutions adapted to professionals, particularly in the hospitality, spa and beauty sectors.
Biochamelle is the meeting point between nature, craftsmanship, creativity and the riches of the Algerian territory.

Creation of artisanal soaps from carefully selected materials, using different manufacturing and processing techniques.

Biochamelle also develops artistic expertise around soap: drawing, printing, decoration and personalization. Each soap can thus become a true medium for creation, combining care, aesthetics and originality.
☑ SUSTAINABLE APPROACH
Part of our approach is based on the enhancement of materials and the reduction of waste, particularly through the recovery and transformation of soap scraps and certain materials that can be reused.
☑ TRAINING AND KNOWLEDGE SHARING
Biochamelle also shares its expertise through training and support initiatives in the field of artisanal soap making, with the aim of passing on techniques and promoting autonomy and the creation of artisanal businesses.
