Industrial Soap Calculator
The Industrial Soap Calculator by SOAPWORLD EXPO is an online tool designed for soap manufacturers, soap formulators and professionals working with oils, fats and fatty acids. The calculator allows you to select the raw materials used in a soap formulation, enter their quantities and define the caustic soda (NaOH) concentration and additional water. Based on these inputs, it calculates the main parameters of the saponification process and the resulting soap balance.
Soap Formulation and Saponification Calculator
This soap formulation calculator helps evaluate a recipe based on selected oils, fats and fatty acids. The calculation determines the quantity of pure NaOH (lye) required for saponification, the water contained in the caustic soda solution, glycerine generated by the reaction, water from the reaction and the total soap balance. The tool can therefore be used as an industrial soap calculator, lye calculator or NaOH calculator when developing and evaluating soap formulations based on different raw materials.
TFM, Moisture and Glycerine Calculator
The calculator also provides key soap technical specifications, including TFM (Total Fatty Matter), moisture and glycerine. TFM is an important parameter for evaluating the fatty matter content of soap. The calculated moisture indicates the amount of water present in the resulting formulation, while the glycerine value represents the glycerine generated during the saponification process. This makes the tool useful not only as a soap calculator, but also as a TFM calculator for evaluating the expected characteristics of a soap formulation.
Online Soap Calculator for Soap Manufacturers
Unlike a simple lye calculator intended only for basic soap making, this tool has been developed specifically around an industrial soap formulation approach, where different oils, fats and fatty acids can be selected and combined. It can be useful during the preliminary evaluation of formulations, comparison of raw material combinations and analysis of the main balances resulting from saponification.
SOAPWORLD EXPO provides this calculator as part of its technical Knowledge section dedicated to the global soap industry.
